About
The Wayne County Community Corrections Board (WCCCB) is a local corrections planning board established by Ohio Revised Code (ORC) Section 5149.34.
The WCCCB is responsible for establishing a comprehensive plan for the development, implementation, and operation of corrections services in Wayne County. It is also responsible for reviewing and approving state and federal funds allocated for these services.
In compliance with this statutory requirement, the WCCCB has engaged in the process of updating the strategic plan during the year 2021. This is a time of many changes in the law, community resources, funding for services, and the aging infrastructure of the jail, all of which make an update timely and necessary.
